Admission
Prospective students to The Barfield School of Sunbridge College must:
  • have earned a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a B average in the major field and a minimum GPA of 2.7.
  • submit official transcripts from all degree-granting institutions.
  • submit two professional and/or academic references.
  • Submit an academic writing sample
  • For the online component of the program, own or have access to: Windows 2000 or XP with Internet Explorer 7.1 or Firefox OR  MAC OS X with Firefox or Safari 2.0

Submission of Graduate Records Examination scores is not required for admission.

Applicants must have access to the Internet for the program’s online component and be prepared for a rigorous academic program. Students should come with an initial investigation into the work of Rudolf Steiner; these basic books are recommended reading: Philosophy of Freedom; Theosophy; and How to Know Higher Worlds. 

The part-time program spans 25 months, encompassing three 15-day residential summer sessions, two winter weekend retreats and online learning during each of two fall and spring semesters.  Matriculation takes place during the summer Common Core session.
